3.82 uc gpa - chance at UC Irvine

I asked this in the davis section, and I will ask here as well.

I'm a student at an Irvine High school and I have a uc weighted gpa of 3.82.

SAt scores are unavailable right now.

What sat score do i need to compensate for the gpa. ?

i'd say at least 1800+, however, you didn't other important things. but from your gpa, it seems like you take some hard classes.

i think a 1700+ SAT might be ok?

If you look here:
<a href="http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/pdf/uci_chart.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/pdf/uci_chart.pdf</a>
you'll see that last year UCI accepted ~81% of applicants with GPAs between 3.7 and 3.99, so you would have been in pretty good shape.

This year may be a bit tougher due to planned enrollment cuts, but if you're able to balance your 3.8 with above average SATs (last year's average was 1839) and some nice ECs and community service, you should be a strong candidate.

budget cuts are scary this year. best of luck, im right around your situation with gpa
