3 Science classes in one year?

Hey guys, I’m wondering if I’ll end up hating myself if I take three classes (which equate to 4 class periods) of science classes. For my senior year, AP Physics or AP Biology is required, I decided to take Physics which I’ve somehow heard is a somewhat easy class at my school, and takes up two class periods. Anatomy is an elective but a class that I’ve always wanted to take. The third is AP Enviromental Science which I heard was a good AP exam to take, but I’m still wondering if having three science classes will only make things harder for me. I’m sure I want to go into a field based on science, and it was my highest scored section on the ACT, but I don’t want to be overwhelmed.

After talking with some family and other students, I think I’ll scratch Anatomy and let AP Human Geography take it’s place while keeping AP Enviromental Science and AP Physics, mostly because Anatomy isn’t an AP class and I’ve heard it isn’t exceedingly helpful. I’d still love to hear everyone’s thought still!

Even for a potential STEM major, 3 sciences in one year is overkill, particularly if in so doing, you are sacrificing another core subject. No college expects HS students to be specialists - that’s why we have grad schools. Good luck.

Do you have classes in English, math (precalculus or calculus), and foreign language , in addition to APES, AP physics, and AP HG?

Yes we’re required to take AP English Literature and Composition as well as AP Calculus AB, and I took AP Spanish last year so I decided not to start another language senior year.

OK your new schedule with AP HG is great then.
