I think the majority of freshman will be sharing some of the same feelings as you, probably your son too. I’m really excited about finally going to college but I am nervous about being so far from home and starting off with basically zero friends. I don’t think I’m yet because I’m at a family reunion this week and it hasn’t quite set in yet that I will be leaving in 3 weeks (no college packing done yet or even started, my parents don’t even know what’s going on haha)

Pierre you have so many friends already…are you kidding me??? Although you have not met them in person, my son, for one, cant wait to meet you! You sound very independent and I am sure you will be fine. JT is in the same boat as you. I am already looking forward to family weekend lol.

just as a reference, facebook friends doesn’t mean real friends lol
in general im pretty shy at first until i get to know someone a little better

Everyone and their parents are feeling the same way. It’s a pretty exciting and nervous time- enjoy it. I’ve been at school for two years and its gone be too quickly. I’m going to try and put together a few tips when I get back from vacation for the incoming freshman on here.

Pierre- I’m the same way. Luckily everyone at Clemson is really friendly. This is also a time to become a little more outgoing.
