Hi everyone! First let me mention that i've been reading up on these forums for quite a while now, though this here is my first post.

I'm obviously a community college student here in Southern California, in his 3rd semester, unless you count Summer as well.

When I first began college back in Fall 06 I took 5 classes right off the bat not expecting it to as tough as i'd though, coming right out of high school. I didn't want to drop or get W's with any of the classes during that semester so I stuck it through though for that first semester my grades stood at:

English 100: A
Anthro 101: A
Math 80a: C
History 241: C
French 101: C

The GPA at that time was: 2.77

Then in Spring 07 semester I decided to not do the heavy 5 classes workload so I went with 4 classes. The grades were:

English 102: A
Theatre 150: A
Sociology 101: A
Poli Sci 101: B

Sending GPA total to: 3.16

Luckily I managed to find time in the summer 07 to take a class:

Speech 235: B

GPA then: 3.15

Then in Fall 07 I signed up for 3 classes however had to drop them and ended up with 3 W's. These classes were:

Spanish 201: W
Anthro 115: W
Astro 105 Lab: W

This obviously did not change my GPA though I'm fearing I might've dug my own grave. Oh, and the reason I managed to take Spanish 201 was through my High School transcripts showing I completed 3 years of Spanish then.

Well, I had drop these classes for petty, personal, family issues. This being the reason that I just wish to transfer as soon as possible. I've been mainly and only focusing on the UC's.

As for my major, I'm interested along the lines of English, Creative Writing and Acting.

I know there are some required classes I still need to take (I'm using the Plan C Transfer Curriculum as my guide), but do I need a MINIMUM of 60 units to transfer?

Looking at the Plan C guide I see that I need only a handful of classes to complete and just wish to get on the right track to transfer.

Thank you if you've stuck and read this post out. I really appreciate it. Thanks!
