Great to hear this outcome. When we struggle and then resolve the situation, it means so much - it is a triumph. It is an example of your son’s resilience, and the fact that he had to work through this earns him a special success.

I have a very similar story about my D. Went out of state three years ago and when I dropped her off at the dorm, she had all she could do not to jump back into our car before we left her. She cried for weeks and was incredibly miserable.

Three years later she is taking her last finals (doing a full-time internship for her last semester there) and is already mourning the loss of her college friends and environment. Crying again but for a different reason. Change will always be hard for this kid but i am so glad that we encouraged her to go to this particular university. It has been a wonderfully diverse, thriving environment and she has found her stride and her passion.

EPTR, that is a thumbs up story that makes me smile!!! :)
