Will it seriously alter my admissions chances at colleges by dropping my language after level 3? I plan on doubling in science next year and to do this I would want to drop my language. I am currently only a sophomore so i would double science in both my junior and senior years.
I currently don't do very well in language. My grades are all As and a B+ except for a C+/B- in language.
I was just wondering if it would be better to drop the language and pursue science or to tough out language through the AP level.
I hope to be a recruited athlete at a D1 school.

most top schools want to see at minimum 2 years of a world language and 3 years are even better. It’s not necessary to take 4 years of a language. Good luck.

I took only 2 years of a language and have been accepted into both of my top choices. It really all depends on your grades, the rigor of coursework, and most importantly where you’re applying. Now if you’re looking at Harvard, UPenn, etc…go for atleast 3 years…

Be aware that many colleges have foreign language graduation requirements that may be higher than the admission requirements.
