I was just wondering if 3 years of language is mandatory for LMU. I understand that a lot of universities recommend 3 years but I only have 2. Instead, I took more art classes. I would like to major in the film program at LMU. Please help, I would love to apply but I am unsure if I am allowed to with only 2 years of language other than english.
LMU highly recommends it, which basically means they really want you to have 3 years. If not then you better have a really good excuse(like you wanted to take 7 AP classes instead). This is the same for many other colleges. Many colleges even require 4 years.
My son only had two and got accepted. He did have a very rigorous course load with one year of double math and many AP classes. I agree with the above post
I always say, “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.” I’d give admissions a call and see what they say. Good luck to you!
