I am applying to five Catholic colleges that offer a math major, two of them being university of San Diego and Loyola Marymount university. USD says on their website that they recommend three years of foreign language but the college board lists it as a requirement, and LMU also requires three years. I took Spanish 1 last year because of schedule conflicts with my school’s arts program that I’m in and took Spanish 2 briefly before transferring into Spanish 3 this year. Because I am taking Spanish 3, could this count as three years of a language even though I was in Spanish 2 only for the first two months of this school year?
