midterm week is here {sadly lol} and I was wondering assuming I go to bed at a reasonable time [enough to get 7 hours of sleep] is it better to get 7 1/2 hours of sleep or eat breakfast before the test?
definitely eat the breakfast. It will help you focus- testing on an empty stomach generally isn’t a good idea.
I haven’t eaten breakfast on a weekday since Fall Quarter lol. Get the sleep.
Buy a box of muffins so you can sleep the extra time and grab a muffin on the way out the door?
Definitely have something in the morning. My daughter keeps Boost in the refrigerator and drinks that on tbe way to class when she is rushed in the morning.
My kid often misses breakfast in favor of a granola bar and a cup of tea in her room as she gets ready. I think for this week at least, sleep is super important, but an empty stomach is bad. Get some granola or cereal bars for your room.
Breakfast first.
Why not sleep an extra 20 minutes and get a quick breakfast?
get the sleep and eat on the way to the test. have something ready the night before, maybe a PBJ sandwich, or a ziploc with some cheese and beef jerky. take a little bottle of milk or coffee drink to wash it down. be well rested, have some protein and caffeine on the way to the exam.
Get something you can eat on the go or within a few minutes, like granola bars, smoothies, muffin, etc. I personally don’t eat hot breakfast except on weekends, and either eat while walking to class or during class.
It honestly depends on you. Can you focus with no food in your stomach? Some people wake up hungry, and some people need a few hours to become hungry. The only time I’ve ever made breakfast before going to work or class in the morning (I’m 23) is when I’ve gone to sleep really early the previous night or just couldn’t sleep anyways. Otherwise, I’ll have a snack when I get to wherever I’m going (cheese stick, muffin, etc).
Breakfast that has protein so your blood sugar doesn’t drop.
