300 essential words same as DH?

<p>I have DH 2011 edition (vol 1 + 2). Is it worth getting this book too?</p>

<p>Also, do you guys study the index in DH? Added together, there would be around about 600-700 words. I’m not sure if I should make flashcards for these words too? They’re usually in caps along the description of another word.</p>

<p>Only get it if you have the time. Honestly, going through Direct Hits is enough for a very good score (missing 1 or 2 per test). Read through the books a couple of times by reading the definitions. Later, go to the index where the 400 words are listed. Make flashcards of the words you don’t know and learn those. Then, if you have time, get 300 essential words. </p>
