I got a 33 composite score with a 34 E, 34 M, 31 R, and 33 S....is this a competitive score for top colleges and maybe ives??

It is a very good score, however it wont be, TOo competitive for Ivies. A 34+ is almost always the 75th percentile cutoff for ivies/top top schools.

But dont lose hope! 33 will give you consideration.

So is my 2110 on the SAT better than a 33 on the ACT?

ACT 33 is about SAT 2190.

[ACT-SAT Concordance](http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/index.html)

Use the above link. It depends on what your writing score is.

will the essay score effect my composite??

Not the composite, only combined English-Writing. However, when converting your ACT score to an SAT score out of 2400, you need to know your combined English/writing to find what your writing score is comparable to on the SAT (using bottom table in link). So add the number in the top table to number in bottom table to get score out of 2400.

ok thanks…so should I send both scores or just my ACT??

What was your writing score? If it is good enough then your ACT score will probably be higher than your 2110 SAT.

i got a 8 on the essay and a combined english/writing score of 31 :(

also i had a 700 writing for the SAT

So according to the link, a 31 on English/writing equates to (roughly) a 690 in writing. So combine that with your 33 Composite (equal to around a 1460 M+CR SAT score), and you would have around a 2150 SAT score.

So although your SAT writing is higher, I would send the ACT because overall it is better.

aww man I went down thanks so much though…it makes a lot more sense
