How would a 32, 33, and 34 compare to a 2190 SAT (690 R 720 M 780 W)? and what would my predicted ACT scores be with those SAT subscores?

Most likely a 33. A composite of 33 is an equivalent of exactly 2190. However, You seem to have scored highest in writing which doesn’t exist on the ACT so you may have scored a 32. Hard to tell.

Bmonticello: One of your many chance threads says that you have a 2300 SAT. Are you being completely honest on this site?

As for your question, I actually have a 2190 SAT right now and a 33 ACT is its equivalent. However, there is variation. I got a 32 on the June test so I am not sending the 32.

Lol why do you care if he’s being honest or not? It’s not like the SAT is honor of the man. Anyways, I have a similar SAT score, only higher by 10 points. If you really want to to a true conversion ignore your writing section. 1410, which is very good. However, to say 33 would be a stretch, you be looking at 1460+. 32 is probably more accurate. If you were able to get a 33 on ACT, send that. If you get a 32, send the SAT score.

@IWillKillForMIT i said predicted 2300 with superscore, but my june test didnt turn out any better than a 2190 so i cudnt even superscore oh well i guess i was blowing smoke up my a$$. But anyway, how is there no writing on the ACT what is the english section and the essay then? Does this not count towards your composite or something?..sorry for my ignorance

Have you taken an ACT? Some people, mostly males, tend to better on the ACT. Some people pull similar scores on an ACT and SAT, but certainly not everyone!

Study for the ACT. Take practice tests and understand the strategy. It’s different than the SAT. If all you did was study for the SAT and expect to walk into an ACT and apply the same mindset… well… you’ve just wasted your time and money… IMHO.

Fireball and bmonticello: The ACT english section and the ACT writing test are similar to the SAT writing test. The ACT English Section is part of your composite but the the ACT writing is not. ACT also combines both sections into an English/Writing score. An ACT of a 33 is slightly better than a 2190 but both of them are very close. Bmonticello, you have multiple chance threads and one of them says that your SAT is 2300. It does not tell us that it is an estimate. The difference between a 2190 and a 2300 is substantial when you are applying to the ivy leagues. The advice that you got from that chance thread may be slightly inaccurate because of your score misrepresentation. Just remember not to embellish anything if you are asking for some help on CC.

i said 2300 bc i used the answers i gathered from cc to predict my score and they have been very accurate except for one section this time. im not trying to misrepresent by not including “predicted” before my score each time, and reguardless it has nothing to do with this thread so you didnt need to bring it up.
