34 ACT vs. 2190 SAT

I need to decide whether or not to retake the ACT and/or SAT... Opinions?

For the SAT the first time, I did no prep. Second time, I took a one-week prep class. The only prep I did for the ACT was take 2 practice tests, so I feel like with a bit more prep I could do better? But do I even need to? I'm looking at colleges like Boston College, Bucknell, Wake Forest, William & Mary, Duke, and reaching for Princeton.

Another issue is that because I got an 800 writing for the SAT, my score out of 1600 is only a 1390 which I don't really think reflects my overall score very well.

SAT- first time taking 2020
Writing: 690
Reading:650
Math: 680

SAT- second time 2190
Writing: 800
Reading: 700
Math: 690

ACT: 34 Composite
Reading: 33
Writing: 34
Science: 34
Math: 35

The ACT is higher. What was your act writing score

-.- Really? Your ACT is CLEARLY better… lmao

It hasn’t come in yet, but I’d say between 8-10. Is a 34 good enough for those colleges though and is it likely that if I retook it, my score would go up?

Yupp, definitely good enough… Once you hit the 34 mark, there’s no point in retaking.

34 is great, good job. You’re good for all those schools except Princeton and duke, which reject 36’s

other thoughts? anyone?

You’ll Forsure get into all of them besides princeton and duke, although you probably have a good shot at those
