I am currently finishing my freshman year of high school, and I recently received my scores for the first ACT I took, as follows:
Composite: 35
English: 35
Math: 35
Reading: 34
Science: 34
Is it worth it to study, retake, and aim for a 36, especially considering I have another 2.5 years? Or should I just move on to the next thing?
do not take the test again. a 35 is just as impressive as a 36.
Don’t worry about the 36.
Later (not now)…in your junior year…take another look at it. ACT scores are generally still valid if taken within 5 years of application but you’d want to doublecheck that.
Take time off college testing, then study for the SAT and PSAT for junior year (may as well study for both since they’re related). You sound like someone who could hit national merit qualification.
