If I got an 800 on 2 subject tests, is there any reason to take a 3rd since I am not applying to Georgetown? I see that there is only downside...

In my opinion taking a third one will not help or hurt you.

AKA: I wouldn’t take a third one if I were you.

What were the two subject tests you already 800ed? And what subject test are you contemplating taking?

got an 800 in math II and world history. Thinking about chem after taking the ap class this year.

If you feel you have a reasonable shot at getting a good score, and know that you will put in the effort come test time, then why not? True, it probably won’t help or hurt you significantly, but a good score in a third subject would serve as a slight boost on your application. The only time it becomes absurd is when an applicant takes 5 or 6 different subject tests.

It’s completely up to you. You’re in a good spot here. You already have the two perfect scores, so you don’t really need to take the 3rd test unless you are confident that you can score high on it.
