Hey, I currently attend an Ivy and I was super fortunate to end my first semester with a 4.0. Since the first day of school, I've realized that my school is not right for me :(

So I am seriously considering transfer. My question is, is a 4.0 particularly remarkable? My high school transcript was not great (senior year) and I'm wondering whether a 4.0 will set me apart or if most of the transfer applicant pool has similar stats after first semester.

Would I be competitive for schools such as Dartmouth, Columbia, Yale, Harvard, and Stanford (who all have transfer acceptance rates of less than 10%)?

Are you really asking whether or not your 4.0 from an Ivy league school is “remarkable”? Unless you’re majoring in Basket Weaving, be happy with your grades. If your high school record was good enough to get you into an Ivy as a freshman, that plus a solid performance at that Ivy should make you competitive for other top-ranked schools.

You’re going to need a compelling reason to transfer, though. Since your reason seems to be that your current school isn’t a good fit, you’re going to have to prove in your essay that each of the schools that you’re applying to is a good fit for you. I think if you can do this well in your essay then you should be fine.

“basket weaving” LOL. If you were taking classes like freshmen seminar, history, or other general education courses then I wouldn’t say your 4.0 is amazing even if it is from an ivy league university. Also I don’t understand why you want to transfer out of an Ivy league university as well as how you got into one with a bad senior year in HS.
