Or has anyone even heard of it?

I'm wondering it's worth in college admissions.

Im in it. It all depends on what your state does but generally there is a weeklong of so state convention, and various activities for high school age people, as well as a chance to be an officer for district and state(basically in charge of planning all youth activities for the year you serve.). If you search google for 4-H in (insert your state here), you will find what it is like in your state. And most college admission officers ive talked to will weight its importance based upon how active you are in it.

I heard of it on the Simpsons when Bart joined…but that’s it.

OMG!! i saw this and the book “In Cold Blood” popped in my head. READ IT!!! SUCH A GOOD BOOK!! Capote ftw!!! :)

In our state-GA- 4-H is popular & those who are very active are usually excellent students who do well with college applications. There are numerous opportunities to compete and kids start working on portfolios(resumes) in seventh grade. There are many opportunities for leadership and public speaking.
