I want to attend SDSU and they highly recommend 4 years of math. I'm a senior and currently enrolled in AP Stats. However, I already took Stats @ a community college and passed. So I am planning to drop AP Stats. The only other math class that my high school offers is AP Calc (I have already taken all the math classes up to pre-cal.) I don't want to take AP Calc because i'm already enrolled in other 3 other AP classes. Would it be okay if I only take 3 years of math, which is required? or Should I take AP Stats and just not take the AP Test (Already got the credits)? I want to Major in Business- Marketing

Community college stats might count for a year of credit, call the college to find out for sure.

They do count for credit (units are transferable), but does it really count for a year of math? My dad was telling me that it's the year that counts, but hey he doesn't know for sure.

Give SDSU a call and ask what their policy is for CC classes. Tell them the number of semester or qt. credits and they should be able to tell you if they count it as a year of HS math.

If you do end up taking AP Stats, it doesn't seem like you need to take the test as you already have the CC credit and it won't count for admissions decisions.
