<p>Via The Choice. Do we have any idea what caused the spike in applications?</p>

<p>i think it was a mixture of better marketing and the fact that many more applicants “stumbled upon” case this year, especially with the spike in apps for many, many other schools. i’m one of the applicants who wanted to find a fantastic match school that wasn’t an ivy or popular to the max.</p>

<p>Sorry if I sound stupid but I thought selectivity would be more like choosing less people so wouldn’t that mean the selectivity is decreasing and the “permeability” is increasing?</p>
