4th year of language vs. Enjoyable science AP

Okay, I'm signed up for AP Environmental, and because I am enrolled in that class, I don't have enough room for AP German IV. Do you think that I should continue with what I was planning (AP Environmental) because it sounds like fun - or should I drop it and take German IV instead to show continuation of a subject? (Mind that I've also been in music for a billion years, so it'd be like 2 things I've stuck with). So yeah, any suggestions? Recently I've been freaking out cause my GPA seems to be lower than I thought, and I basically pretty much want to go to a UC. Help..?

edit: Bleh, this probably should have gone under admissions..

I say take the science, mostly because I think that at some point, we have to put this obsession with college apps aside and go for what we think we'll enjoy. Hell, it's still an AP.

the answer in the college admissions game is: It depends.

How many other lab sciences do you have? Have you completed the 3 min requirements for UC? Do you have four years of science if you are considering UCLA and Berkeley (not required, but they like to see four years of every academic discipline)? Are you thinking about UCLA, which has a foreign language requirement in excess of the minimum for admission? If so, would a AP score in German allow you to pass out of their language requirement should you matriculate there? Do you plan to major in music or obtain an advanced degree where the foreign lang is likely required?

Just considerations to think about. If you already have 3-4 years of science on your transcript, I'd recommend the language.

i only have bio and chem as my sciences so far (i am planning on applying to UCSC and UCSB and probably UCD and UCB for the heck of it) eep thanks people!

take the science, then
