I will be taking
AP Government
AP Calculus AB
AP Lang
AP Statistics
AP Physics 1

I took 3 AP classes last year and felt it was fine but wasn't sure if 5 was too much for senior due extra time spent to prepare for college. (I took AP Econ, AP Psych and AP Chem).

I don't deal with stress very well. Would this be too much for me? How many hours a night would I have to spend for these courses?

Nah, you’ll be fine. I’m doing 5 too and I have a feeling it won’t be too awful. I’d try and get college apps done early though (that’s what I’m doing) to just get them out of the way.

Looks good. Only late-nighters(assuming you’re a math guy) would be for Lang(essays)/Physics(lab reports) and maybe government(haven’t taken it but I’d presume there will be a few projects along the way).

I also took 3 my junior year, and will be taking 3 next year (my fourth and fifth courses are brit lit and journalism). If stress is your main concern, I would take four max. With college applications, extracurriculars, and downtime, managing 5 APs will be difficult if you want to maintain a high GPA. Four is still respectable and is plenty challenging. Do you need two AP math courses? Statistics is fairly popular in college and AP Calc will be very useful with AP Physics.

The amount of homework really depends on your school. It wouldn’t hurt to email each teacher and ask for an estimated work load, it’ll show responsibility if you demonstrate your concern.
