5 classes senior year?

Will taking only 5 classes (out of a possible 7) senior year hurt me in the admissions process? Btw I'm 1 college class and 4 AP's, if it means anything.

I mean… yes. If you take only 5 classes, you will lose out in admissions to the student who is identical to you but takes 6 or 7 classes their senior year. There is never a situation where doing more good academic work would not boost your chances.

It’s fine if they are challenging courses. I was given the option by my guidance counselor to drop a course and only take 5. This was because I am taking 4 AP’s next year. After all, 4 AP’s and 1 regular class looks a lot better than 1 AP and 6 regular classes.

I am doing the same thing. Taking 5 AP classes, then having two studyhalls. However, during those studyhalls I am a TA for an AP Language class and peer tutoring.
