5 classes will kill?

im about to take 5 classes in winter/spring semesters...
i was just wondering if i can survive this?
anyone who had similar experiences care to share?
btw my classes are...
philosophy, pre-calc, envionmental sci, music appreciation, cultural geography

2ez

10blah

really? wow you've taked 10 classes before? howd u do it without hurtin ur gpa?

10blah = 10char = minumum to post
and no I have not taken 10 classes before.

the classes you've listed are easy classes so you should be fine

With those classes you should be fine

I've taken 5 every semester, and I've been fine.

take 3 MAX. 9 units, no work no ecs and i BARELY made it through.

im in calc II, vector calc (lecture + recitation), engineering class (with a seperate 2 hr workshop), chem, chem lab, and geology, and im pullin all Bs/B+s

i'm taking 6 next smestre just to transfer in one year:

critical thinking and writing, intro modernism, plant bio, intro to astronomy, french 201, logic three of my classes will be honors (just to be tap certified).

OP - those are some REALLY easy classes. ;) You need not worry.

A good thing to do is check to see if the teachers you are taking have syllabi online so you can evaluate the workload. I signed up for a fifth class this quarter that sounded like your average easy A social science class (Grassroots Democracy: social movements since the 1960's), but it now constitutes about 60% of my workload. Had I looked at the syllabus beforehand and seen how much work there was, I probably wouldn't have signed up. On the other hand, I signed up for a fifth class next quarter (World History 1900-present) that requires very little time outside of the class period, so it won't be a big deal.

yeah definitely and use ratemyprofessors.com if you can as two classes that i thought would be relatively easy turned out to be a ***** since the teachers are *******s.

IMO, that looks like a fairly easy schedule.

Ratemyprofessors.com FTW

thanx for ur help!

For my final semester in community college I will be taking the following:

Politics of Communist and Post Communist states.

Politics of the Middle East

Aspects of argumentation and debate

Forensic activity

Intro to fine arts

Intro to logic

and at UCI I will be taking the course "Legal research" at their extension school for paralegal studies... 23 units in all ;) Lord have mercy!

i'm taking 23 units too. but, i seriously think ccc work is fairly easy. they definitely easier than ap's. imagine taking 6 ap classes, sports, clubs, and all the other crazy things these kids do to get into top schools in ur high school junior year. now THAT'S inferno.
why are u taking so much units? u realize that uc's wont graduate u if u have too many units? i 'm taking 23 units so that i can enter ucla in junior standing since i'm a first year.

"take 3 MAX. 9 units, no work no ecs and i BARELY made it through."

I really hope you're joking bro :D

To OP:

pre-calc is probablly the most challenging course you have, which isn't too bad.

I've just taken 21 units/6 classes this semester myself, and expect to get As in each, while being a president of a club and employed for about half the semester. It's just a matter of balancing out your time and staying focused in your classes. Do this, and you'll be fine.

we always have 5 classes at my school. It is painful when you take 5 hard classes. Many students barely sleep.
