Hi. I have recently applied to Stanford, Pomona College, and 3 UC's (Davis, Berkeley, Los Angeles) and was wondering if I had a chance at admission. I applied through Questbridge for Stanford and Pomona. I became a finalist but was not matched. I have a 2100 SAT (700 R, 790 M, 610 W) and a 33 ACT(31 E, 35 M, 34 R, 33 S, 10 W) I have taken two AP classes in my junior year (APUSH 5, AP Lit 3) and am taking 5 AP classes in my senior year. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.2 weighted GPA. I am on my school's speech and debate team, and am currently my district's public forum debate champion. I have bowled competitively all of my life, placing 5th in Canada in 2007. I volunteer at the Humane Society of Central Oregon, Bend Parks and Recreation, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I have had Type 1 Diabetes for 12 years and was my city's top individual fundraiser in 2005. I attended a National Student Leadership Conference at UC Berkeley this past summer. My essays for Pomona and the UC's were good, not sure about Stanford, but my recommendation letters were very good. I appreciate any and all advice. Thank you very much.
