5 or 6 classes for senior year?

Would 5 academic classes plus being an AVID tutor (considered a "6th class" but not UC transferable), be a disadvantag over 6 academic classes???

What would the 6th academic class be..

I think 5 classes would be fine as long as your course load is challenging. Thats what i did this year, and i had 3 APs, one advanced (same weighted credit as an AP, but there is no AP test) and one honors class. There weren't really any others that i had a big interest in takeing (or that fit in my schedule) and taking 5 classes instead of 6 or 7 allowed me to put a lot more time into the classes i was taking and it worked out really well. (one of my classes was a double period, which shows in the transcript and i had one "free period" where i worked as an aid to the administration and teachers

The 6th academic class would be either Child Development or Marine Biology simply because there's nothing else of interest being offered during that timeslot. The complete schedule would be:
AP Econ/Govt.
AP Psychology
AP Calc BC
Avid Tutor or Child Development or Marine Biology
World Religions
AP English 12
