5 Steps, Barron's, or PR for Macroeconomics?

I plan on self studying for AP Macroeconomics next year and am looking at review books now to get a head start. Which review book is the best in your opinion? Also, would it be smarter to get the Micro/Macro book from PR/Barron’s or the individual Macro book? I’m asking because I plan on taking Microeconomics my junior year, so if the Micro/Macro book works better, I might as well get that one instead. However, if the Macro book is a lot more in depth and will help me with the AP Macro test more, I’d rather get the individual book than the combined one. For those of you who are experienced with AP econ courses, what do you suggest I should do?

I self studied it this year and got a 5. I recommend using the normal 5 Steps to a 5 and PR.

I semi self-studied this year (I picked up in-class materials from the teacher every day and asked questions a lot) and thought Crash Course was very good, which sells Macro and Micro as separate books. Crash course is pretty cheap compared to the other review books too. I also used the Micro/Macro PR book, but it was lacking in content imo. I’ve heard from friends that 5 Steps is a good one too.

I got a 5 in macro btw, if that helps.

I got a 5 on the micro test, and I used Barons. Not the best book to learn from, but it is a really good book to review from. If you are going to selfstudy, I would not use Barons (but I would reccomend it to people taking the class)

I got the 2016 PR book for both Macro/Micro, but it seems really thin and doesn’t appear to have a lot of content in it. Therefore, I’m planning on buying another book to help myself out. Should I go for the crash course ones or the 5 steps one? Are there better options out there?
