The final showdown. Which requires more mathematical ability/intelligence? a 50/50 raw on math2 or a 54/54 raw on SAT Reasoning math?

50/50 on sat subject test: math lv. 2
it's obvious

yep, i agree

50/50 on math2 is much more impressive. It's not even close.

Unfortunately there's no way (that I know of) to find out exactly how many you got wrong on the subject test.

Is this even a question??

54 very easy problems in a total of 70 minutes vs. 50 harder (though the majority are still easy) problems in 60 minutes. 50/50 on Math II is no easy feat.

The real question: what is more impressive, 800 on Sat 1 or Math II? I would say 800 SAT 1, but only slightly.

jjjj1234

you mean between math lv 1 and math lv 2?
tell me..if math 1 is more impressive,
why do people who can ace both tests take lv 2?

Obviously I was talking about SAT reasoning math. But to address your point, people take Math level 2 because it is easier to get an 800, and it displays a mastery of more advanced math that colleges expect.

well i knew the answer, i was trying to prove that math 2 is more impressive than 1.
and the reasoning math test? that is the easiest of all...

A perfect raw score on the math II beats a perfect raw score on the SAT I math, but I would argue that an 800 SAT I math beats an 800 math II.

Lets be real, 800 on math II is easy. I mean 6 questions wrong = 800!

^^Agreed. I received an 800 on both with 6-7 left blank on Math II and 54/54 on SAT I math. However, colleges don't know your raw score on either, I believe, people, so please chill out!

Well, I'm trying to get an idea of which questions (math II or SAT I math) require more..."reasoning/thinking" skills.

math 2 for sure
sat 1 math is just glancing and thinking for a few seconds
