<p>I know Tony really pushes applying RD if you’re out of state so admissions can see second semester grades, but I really doubt how much that can help you. Sure, it (probably) can’t hurt…but the way I see it, if your grades were consistent with what you were making all of high school, you’re just as well off applying EA. To sum it up, here’s what I think: If you consistently have been doing well for all of high school, and expect to continue that through the first semester of your senior year, apply EA. If you’ve had subpar years for you, and you want to show improvement to admissions, apply RD.</p>

<p>I know if I was out of state, I would have applied EA because I wouldn’t want to wait THAT long to get a decision.</p>
