Hey Everyone,
I was reading the other tuition waiver thread and they gave a lot of great information about getting the full tuition waiver but not the partial (50%) waiver. I wanted to know if anyone here has received one or has received in-state tuition. If you guys are comfortable sharing GPA and ACT that would be fantastic!
Just a little about myself
Current senior
ACT:30
GPA:3.3
3 AP/Honors
10 years of soccer
416 hours of volunteer work/community service since
Note: I attend a fairly rigorous school district in the suburbs of Chicago (ipsd 204), does anybody know if the university takes the difficulty of the high school into consideration?
My daughter received a 50% OOS waiver and she had a 29 ACT. As I understand it, 29 is(was) 50% and 30+ is 100% OOS waiver. Of course past performance doesn’t guarantee future results.
Congrats! Will she be an incoming freshman next fall? We are fro CO and my son is a 5 time legacy and is interested in going but the out of state kills us. Is the tuition waiver based on ACT scores?
If I recall correctly, FSU recalculates GPA for their admissions and scholarships. They discussed this as part of the admissions presentation, and I think they weight honors and AP differently. If you don’t have this information reply and I might be able to find it. I also had notes on the thresholds for the waivers. My daughter was accepted this fall and received the full waiver (3.96 UW / 4.65 W / 32 ACT composite), difficult north shore high school.
