6 AP's senior year? Big uh oh?

Okay so I'm planning on taking 6 AP's senior year which I don't know if I can handle. If I had to take one out, which would you say?

-AP Lang(easy if you get this one cool teacher, hell if you get the other)
-AP Gov(without even trying you can get an b+)
-AP Calc AB(HELL)
-AP Chem(decent b+ although the exam is hard)
-AP Bio(HELL)
-AP Stats(piece of cake)

Also which AP test between these classes is hard? I heard chem is...

I would definitely take out AP Bio. That one just seems to be killer anywhere you take it. I took 7 AP's senior year (Lang, BC, Psych, both govs, both econs) and did perfectly fine. I could have, however, taken other AP courses (sciences, etc.) that would have been really hard, but I opted to take the easier ones so I would have time left over for EC's and admissions.

As far as the tests go, gov, calc, lang, and stats are easy. Chem and bio are hard. More people at my school pass bio than any other, but that's only because the teacher for it is mad crazy. All the other AP teachers at my school except for calc suck for preparing for AP tests, but the ones that I just said are easy you can "self-study" for with AP review books.

thank you so much!

you think thats bad look at mine

AP ECONOMICS (MACRO & MICRO)
HONORS BUSSINESS AND LAW
HONORS CALCULUS (REALLY AP AB CAL EQUIV SCARSDALE HIGH HARD!!)
RACE + Ethnicity (easy gpa boster)
Public Policy (easy gpa boster)
Physics (uhhhhhh)
AP English
ADVANCED ENGLISH
AP GOV
AP Physcology (easy)
AP CHEM (OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!) WHY DID I DO THIS ONE!

Wow, how many classes are you guys allowed to take?

AP bio isn't as bad as everyone else makes it out to be at some places. I'd talk to students who have taken it at your school and get their advice. When I took it junior year I thought it was cake (A 1st semester, A+ 2nd, 5 on AP), but I love bio and am going to major in biochem. Others in my class thought it was pretty difficult.

Find out what other people think of it before dumping it.

We only take eight blocks a year... Four per semseter. APs count as two.

I'm only a junior but...

First semester I took:
Chem II Honors (AP chem 1st semester)
English IV Honors (apparently harder than AP with the teacher I had)
Pre-AP US History Honors (the first semester is always honors and the second is AP)
Precal Honors

This semster I have:
Physics Honors
AP Chem
AP US History
Spanish III Honors

Bleck. I don't recommend taking physics and chemistry together. I mean they're related and if you do well in chemistry you'll probably do well in phyics (as far as the math portion), but they both have a fair amount of homework.

Physics in my school is hell.

My friend had the following schedule last semester and managed to pull off a 5.0!
AP Macro/Micro Economics
AP Statistics
AP German
AP Literature
AP Biology
AP Government

No, I think 6 is fine if you're willing to work and pull a few allnighters occasionally - especially when the only "hard" APs is Bio... and maybe Chem.

I'm taking five this year (Eng Lit, French Lang, World Hist, Stats, and Physics c) and I could handle 1-2 more if I didnt have senioritis..... LOL

Next year (senior) I'm taking:

AP Calc AB
AP English Lit
AP Bio
AP Chem
AP US History
Band

(Self study AP Comp Sci AB online)

IB Hist HL
IB Eng HL
IB Spanish SL
IB Design Tech HL
AP Calc AB
AP Bio

is my next year

Bio, because it's just plain annoying.

AP Gov is moderately interesting, Calc is essential, Chem is an easy 5, Stats will totally change the way you think about the world, and AP Lang is just like every other English class you've ever had.

But Bio is just a lot of memorization. Unless you're into that sort of thing.

(It does depend on what you're good at, though.)

'Chem is an easy 5,' - not true for everyone, particularly those not into chem
Bio is the hardest AP I've taken, and I took it junior year to avoid crash-studying for both the Calc BC and Bio at the end of senior year (a veritable nightmare)

my senior year should be easier than my junior even though ill be taken all AP
senior year:
multivariable calculus/differential equations (possibly hard)
ap english lit (easy)
ap gov/ap macro (decent)
ap physics b (took c this year)
ap psychology (extremely easy)
ap enviromental science (extremely easy)

maybe you guys should take like 3 aps and actually enjoy your life for once

wow.. still planning to work hard during senior year eh?
my friend had 5APs and ended up dropping 2... but then again it was so predictable b/c she wasn't getting As even with easier loads junior year... :D you'll do fine if you're smart enough and dont get sidetracked.

I was taking 6 APs year as a senior. AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP Biology, AP Gov, AP Spanish, and AP Lit. But after a few months it was too hard. I eventually dropped AP Lit and was so happy. I feel so free and less stressed. I don't think it's worth it to take that many APs. However, I was also doing this intense Academy of Science thing so that maybe why i was so stressed...

I'm doing 6 too
AP MacroEcon
AP Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
AP Chem
AP Gov

So I think it's okay

Junior year:
precalc honors
ap chem lab
ap chem lecture
ap us history
ap english (lang)
ap computer science
ASB (student gov)

Senior year:
regular Gov/econ (AP is hardest class at my school and i have history)
BC calc AP
AP Physics
AP English (lit)
ASB
Photo (need an art :))

I can't wait for senior year :)
