Lucky you! In Bulgaria we take 13-15 classes and they're all required! We can only choose what our third foreign language to be and in what subject to take supplementary classes.

6 : 5 subjects + compulsory PE. But next year, PE is not compulsory so, 5 subjects.

Each subject has about 20-24 credits.. and there's heaps of exams to take (mostly 3 credits each) for each subject.
It's really complicated.

Juniors/seniors : 6 IB classes (or IB Certificates) + ToK/PE + Study hall (yep, it's actually put in with 3 blocks a week. A waste of time, I think since the IB classes need more teaching)

So that's about 7.

We have a minimum...

You have to take an equivalent of (at least) 15 hours of classes per week.

9 .

We have 7 periods, but freshman and sophomores are required to take gym/health. The common course load is 5 core classes and 2 electives or 1 elective and 1 study.

I am sooo jealous of these schools where you have tons of flexibility with like 10 periods. I wish I could take classes I want to take instead of have to take because of stupid scheduling (hence AP Bio instead of AP Chem this year....:()
