I'm transferring from another 4 year school and I'm wondering how I will know if my credits transfer?

I should have 60-62 credits by the time Spring semester ends but I am worried one of my classes will not be accepted. How can I make sure I will have enough credits to transfer?

You won’t know until after you transfer and submit your transcript for evaluation. I think the 60 credit thing is a firm rule for CCC transfers, and more like a guideline for other transfers? I don’t know if any of the UCs do pre transfer evaluations.

Thanks for the reply.

If anyone is interested you can look at the UCLA (or any other UC) course catalog online to see if the classes you are taking are similar to any offered at a specific UC campus.

I think that is basically what they do. At least that’s what they make it sound like. For example, if you are taking a basic management class they will see if what you are taking is similar to a class offered at a UC campus. Is this correct or am I completely wrong?

They seem pretty firm on the 60 credits requirement. I can’t imagine that they are any less strict with out of state/4 year applicants, at least with the amount of transfer applications they receive every year. Though I can’t really say anything for certain.
