60 units to transfer? Help?

Do the 60 units to transfer to a UC include the major prereqs?

Yes, they do. The only time major prereq units are not allowed to transfer is when they are non transferable units. Units that are not transferable to UCs are usually units that are only transferable to CSUs. Check assist.org to see which classes you need for your major. Double check to see if your major pre reqs are transferable so you don’t end up finding out you are short on transferable units by the time you are ready to transfer.

joke? two/three threads down.

No, prereqs don’t count to your 60 units.

Yes they do.

If you don’t even know such basic stuff, why even bother replying and giving OP misleading info?

Dude what are you talking about? pre-reqs don’t count

Are you kidding me? All transferrable units count. Pre-requisite classes are almost always transferrable, therefore they count towards the 60 unit requirement.

LOL @Ryan2136’s post. Are you a)■■■■■■■■ b)just kidding c)hypnotizing by CC counselors d)really don’t know O_o (can’t imagine that lol)

Pre-reqs alone make up to 30-40 units in the total transferable units, especially in science & engineering. If you don’t count them, you are going to take all 60 Gen-Ed units. Don’t you think that doesn’t make sense AT ALL?

Come on guys, don’t feed the ■■■■■. Let him go back under his bridge

How could this even be considered a joke? I wasn’t even asking the same question as the other poster. I kind of thought that the major prereqs counted towards the 60 units but I definitely wanted to clarify. Thank you for all your replies!

hes always that way, i just ignore him guys.
