I was reading another post on this forum regarding the 60 unit requirement to transfer to a UC (ucb/engineering). The post quoted one of the requirements to transfer as needing to complete 60 transferable units that "satisfy college or major requirements".

Does this mean that if I've completed 57 transferable units toward my engg major, and 3 transferable units that don't go toward the major, I won't be considered for admission?

Yes, you won’t be considered for admission if that’s the case.

60 UC transferable units are required.

wow tiberius you are wrong, it doesnt matter if the 3 units do not go towards his major as long as they are UC transferable, he will meet the 60 unit requirement. I think you misunderstood him. You will be fine nuke.

Thanks for the reply, but it was a bit ambiguous. I stated that both the 57 units and the 3 units were UC transferable. The difference between them is that the 57 goes toward the college major requirements (ASSIST Stuff + Prereqs), whereas the 3 is miscellaneous (weight training).

Edit

You snuck in before me, there. Thanks for the info samsizzle.

yeah samsizzle is correct.

regardless of what you do engineering majors need to complete their major courses because thats the most important thing in their application
