Greetings CC people, I was wondering what they mean exactly by 60 units. I mean, you can fulfill all the requirements for your major AND the IGETC and be under 60 units (like me since I am a low unit major). My question is, do I just keep taking classes that are xferable to reach 60 units even though I have already fulfilled a certain IGETC category? For example, say you need 1 class for math, can I take another class (xferable of course) in math to add on another 3-4 units even though my IGETC math requirement has been fulfilled in that category? Where should those extra units come from if you have already completed the IGETC and major prep courses?

Yes, you need 60 units, just take random classes that are transferable. It doesn’t really matter what courses you take if you have already finished IGETC and major prereqs, so take easy classes that boost your GPA
