Hello,

I recently took the January SAT and got a 600 in math. For some reason, I can't seem to improve from a 600 in math. I seem to always miss one question in the medium questions in the middle and usually the last 3-4 questions at the end (hard questions I'm assuming)

I've tried to attempt them, but have had no luck. What should I do to overcome this? I would REALLY like a 750 on my June SAT!

I think you should practice more, its not impossible to go from a 600 to 750 but it will require a lot of commitment and discipline. I think you should also apply different methods if the ones you are using aren’t working for you.

Use the Blue Book in accordance with silverturtle’s guide. Math isn’t difficult to improve on; it’s very formulaic.

^Oh, thank goodness. I don’t know my scores yet, but I’m fairly sure that with 4 omit, -4, I won’t be getting anything close to a 700 M. No biggie, because I didn’t put any effort into it, but it’s good to know that it’s fairly easy to study for. :)

Oh, definitely. Ur pretty lucky- 150pt increases in w/cr r much harder. Good luck :)

I started off with mid 600’s on the math sections, but after consistently taking tests comprised of ONLY math sections (3 sections) my scores rose to mid-to-high 700s. If you take a lot of tests/do a lot of practice problems, you’ll wind up seeing that many of the questions are really similar. Just remember to practice!
