62 CC units+10 UCLA extension units IS OK OR NOT for transfer

Hey guys.

UCLA hopeful.

Trasnfering for fall 2006. WHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Is having 62 CC units+10 UCLA extension units a problem? I know the max is like 70 that apply towards ur degree or something like that.

Heard all units are ok as long as they are from CC, but i'll have some extension classes as well.

all units have been convered to semester units. :)

72 units is fine for any of the UCs. The 70 semester unit (105 quarter) thing is the max a UC will give you for transferred units from a CC toward the bachelor degree. You should look at the various UC schools' counseling web sites to verify this yourself.

At UCLA, it is a little weird since you stop getting CC credits after your 70th semester credit from anywhere. So it depends on when you take the extension credits. But in your case it doesn't matter very much since your max is only 2 units over 70.

As long as you don't exceed 85 or so, you have as good a shot as anyone else for any of the UCs.
