To all the candidates reporting on 10 July......GOOD LUCK!!! Enjoy your last few days at home with family......make lots of good memories!!!

i guess it's time i start taking time off my physical conditioning and start partying... lol

It really is a shock. It hit me the other day that the countdown was no longer in months, but in days, and soon, in hours. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. Reading the many things about the academy on this forum, both bad and good, and visiting the academy for myself, I definitely believe the benefits outweigh the flaws. I am very worried about the many obstacles plebes have to face, I have been briefed on that many times, but a mid told me there (a plebe at the time), "If I can do it, so can you". Those words really got me to think. If so many people can go and accomplish something that they really wanted to do, in this case, graduate from KP, then why can't I? I believe that with the right attitude, I can get through anything, and even when I'm not feeling that great, I know others will be there to help me out, which is very comforting to know. And of course, I will try to help any others that I can. Even though I have to focus on my own dreams, I understand that there are others who are sharing the same road to success, and only together can we achieve. I truly look forward to being at USMMA, and I wish the best for every candidate, and even the midshipmen, not only to accomplish their goals at KP, but in life as well.

good attitude Cero. keep your chin up. stay focused on the prize.

It has been a good fit for my son. He's at DI school now, perhaps you will see him. :)

Yep, been good for my son too. Mine is at DI school as well. Cero, if it's any consolation, the mids that will be your DI's have been getting their rears kicked hard since last Sunday so don't think only the "new" Candidates get pushed hard.

Good luck, and as is2day said.....keep your eye on the prize and stay focused.

Just a reminder to the parents of the incoming plebe candidates...Don't forget to wear something that stands out, so your kid can find you in the sea of parents. Whether you go with bold stripes, bright red, orange, or that gosh awful umbrella that embarasses the entire clan, make sure you do your best to be found. I will be thinking of all of the candidates next week, and hope we see you on the other side of INDOC, posting once again in here.
