Recognize the Class of 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GIT R DUNN!
Adding good luck as well to ya'll.

now comes the fun of really messing with the plebe's minds, haha. oh how many times they lined us up after class only to tell us 'dismissed'. Definately an exciting time of year though

So your saying, this should be a fun week huh? LOL I just don't want anything to be broken. Arms, legs, that new camera I just got the Jamz for Xmas. On a serious note, I am just so sad that there will be a few not joining the new Mids. KP? I just spoke with another alum and he told me that only 35% of his incoming class made it to graduation. Is it the same for you as to that number? I'm gonna go finish my bowl of chocolate & go do some yard work. I just can't take all this STRESS!!

BACK TO RECOGNITION.... OMG! Could it be today?????? ;)

PLEBES NO MORE! Its official and is going on this very minute. Sweet!!
Congrats to the new Midshipmen!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOO!!

Woot woot...congrats to jamz and his mates!

I hear that Recognition earlier today was wonderful and quite muddy - well deserved, class of 2009! Their boilersuits are now caked in mud - lucky they have laundry service this year...

Of course I missed the phone call!!!!!!!!!! Son spoke with his dad and sis..all are very excited at KP. I keep trying his cell, but no answer..guess they're still celebrating.

His away message ..."RECOGNIZED!"...oh I just love that word...Thank God :)

one more thing.....
http://www.usmmaparents.com/usmmaparents/

HA! HA! HA! HA! My kid lost his shoes. Yep, they are gone. Can't wait for the photos on the web site. I received a phone call followed up by a few photos. Oh the mess. Glad it wasn't at my house. I would have been doing some major yelling. Happy day folks!

What's the mud business? Clue in us ignorant folks.

Plebes have now been "recognized" as 4th classmen. The upperclassmen have been drilling them in the culture and basic info that every midshipman must know since Indoctrination. As a final fling, they run, do messy things in the mud, get hosed down and generally celebrate! To get a sense of it, see http://www.usmmaparents.com/usmmaparents/recog_06_pics_2.htm
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2009!

Boss, Geez, I don't know what the tradition behind the mud bath is. Seems to have been a constant throughout the years. I'll ask around. Maybe a few new Mids will post what they might know about it. The photos are great. All I want is some hair on my Mid now. And of course some new shoes. Wonder how many were late to class this morning since they didn't have to run & snap & pop those corners..... Glad I sent Q-tips last week. I saw mud and inch deep in an ear canal. Eeewwwww!
