Blair and Peddie accept plenty of kids with scores in the 60s and 70s. Blair’s average percentile is around 70 and Peddie’s is a few points higher, so obviously a huge portion of each school will be below those averages. Many will be well below. Anything in the 80s would be well above average at either school.
@BlairParent if you want to can you PM your childs SSAT score and the year they took it because from your username I can infer you have a child at Blair
How is one person’s SSAT going to tell you anything? As @BlairParent said
“Blair’s average percentile is around 70 and Peddie’s is a few points higher, so obviously a huge portion of each school will be below those averages.”
According to Boarding School Review the avg at Blair = 70%. That means a lot of kids scored below 70% and a bunch scored higher. A 70% SSAT score will not keep you out of Blair. Other factors- ability to full pay, GPA, interview, ECs will give you a much bigger chance of admission than a below 70% SSAT score would hurt you.
