Does anyone know this school? Is it a good one?

Yes, it is a well-regarded school. If you do a search on this board, you will find some discussion about Peddie. There is a parent "Live & Learn" if I remember correctly who might have a child going there. There is a student "njdana" who will attend next year. She had Peddie as her top choice.

i applied to peddie.....and was waitlisted. you should do a search on the school.

Is Peddie regarded as a competitive school?

Is it too hard too apply for that school?

If I remember correctly, you are from Korea, are applying for financial aid and you are applying for 11th grade as a repeat 11th grader. Your situation is so unique that it is difficult to answer your questions.

how uniques is my situation?

A good friend of mine's daugher is at Peddie and loves it tremendously! She is thriving and has told me that she is thrilled to be learning so much. Great school with a phenominal new science building and program. Very impressive!

A lot of people on here say that it's a lot harder to get into American boarding schools if you're from countries like Korea, but a friend of mine who is from Korea and goes to SIS says that someone got into Andover with a 68% on the SSAT.

How is that possible?

On Andover's website it says the minimum SSAT percentile should be 94%~

No, it doesn't. It says the average SSAT score for accepted students is 94%.

So What SSAT score should I have to feel safe when applying for top schools ?

In general, schools in the United States do not place as much importance on tests scores like the SSAT as many other countries do. There is no score that will assure you entrance to a top school, and many 99% scores are rejected every year. Search for a thread called "Rate the following."
Because you are looking for financial aid, you would be a more interesting candidate if your SSAT score is in the top 25% of accepted applicants. However, this does not assure you admission, and there are many exceptions to this rule.

Thank you so much because your information makes me feel more relieved.

I want a score to strive for so Could you provide me a score ?

Have you asked the girl attending Peddie(I asked you about this beofre) if I could contact with her ?

This is a public forum, and she has posted on it. If you look on the upper right hand corner of this page, you will find the private message utility. You can send her a private message without asking for permission. If she does not answer, then you know that she prefers not to do that or that she is just too busy getting ready for school.
You can contact Peddie admissions to ask them for their range of SSAT scores. Even a person with 99% score on all 3 tests cannot feel assured of admittance to top schools.
