740 Math 2 or Korean 800?

I took the Math 2 Sat2 test and recieved a 740.

according to the curve, it seems like thats not a real good score, I was in like the 50 percentile.

Will it be worth retaking it? or should I just go for Korean 800, which by the way is my first language -0-..

I've heard that colleges take the top three scores so will it matter if I take the korean or something harder than that?

Korean won't impress the admissions like Math 2 does. You should go for retaking it and getting a 800.

720 was 71% when I took it...

a 740's a 740. Its high enough that it shouldn't make or break your app. 800s aren't all their cracked up to be, though a LOT of the other kids you are competing against will have them.

if you're really worried, why not do both?

Thnx for your replys I'm going for the math again

740 is not like 50th percentile.... it's like 75th.

800 in korean is like 75% tile. korean won't impress the admission officers. submit iic.

yeah, 800 in Korean isn't that impressive.. it just shows that you're Korean.

740 in Math II isn't THAT great.. considering 1/10 people get perfect scores, and the percentiles below that become pretty low. Also, the curve is huge, so that means you got like 20 wrong..

If you're aiming for top colleges, I'd say retake math.
