<p>Yes, perfectly fine. Your extracurriculars and such matter much more than 10 to 40 points on a test.</p>

<p>^ it’s a beautiful thing. I only wish other schools were as open with this policy as MIT is.</p>

<p>^ They are open about it; they just don’t follow MIT’s policy.</p>

<p>^ Mmm, a lot of schools aren’t open about their policies - not to the degree MIT is. (At least, as of 4 years ago, when I was applying.) Though yes, some are, and they do have policy that differs drastically from MIT’s.</p>
