790 Math 2 SAT Subject Test score

Is a 790 Math 2 SAT Subject Test score too low for MIT/Caltech/Stanford/Harvard? Would it be better to retake it? I know this question might sound really stupid, but I’ve heard that there is a big difference between a 790 and 800 in terms of admission standards, although it’s only a difference of 10 points. Some of my friends also said that if you get an 800 on a science subject test, this makes up for a non-800 math score. Doesn’t seem true, but, if it is, I got a 780 on the Physics Subject Test…

Further info: I’m a high school junior (‘22) considering applying to MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Harvard, Tufts, and BU. (Also applying to RSI next year.)

MIT and Caltech won’t look at subject test scores. Your scores are fine for the other colleges you listed.
