7th: 680V/700M
8th: 720V/760M
11th: 640V/730M LOL :(

My son just got his ACT scores : C30 (R35 M34 E+W 26 S27).
He was surprised to see his reading score higher than his math score as he is active in math competitions.

7th M: 530 V: 530 1060

9th PSAT: M:720 W:670 CR: 620 2100
11th PSAT: M:800 W:730 CR:700 2230
11th SAT: M:680 (***, mate?) W:780 CR:690 2150

I will be very impressed if you can find a pattern.

7th grade: 800M, 560CR (old SAT, 1360)
8th grade: 800M, 690CR, 690W (new SAT, 2180)
9th grade PSAT: 80M, 68CR, 73W (221)
10th grade PSAT: 80M, 78CR, 71W (229)
11th grade PSAT: 80M, 79CR, 75W (235)
11th grade SAT: 800M, 800CR, 800W

For the most part, a nice and steady upward progression.

hey how exactly did you just from 68 CR to 78CR rb9109? i rally need some advice on teh CR

7th grade: 630M/620V
11th grade: 800M/730V

Son's scores:

7th Grade SAT: 630V/710M ( 1340, Duke)

12th Grade SAT: 800/800/800 ( 2400)

7th ACT --- 22, with straight 22's across the board
8th SAT --- CR 630/ M 520/ W 530

Hopefully I'll do better in high school. That was without studying, anyway, which I'm sure could have helped my scores a good deal. The sad thing is, I'm getting A's in a '10th-grade-math' class. Psh.

7th grade SAT - 590 verbal, 610 math
11th grade SAT - 780 CR, 790 math (so close!!), 710 writing

7: 690m, 540v
11: 800m, 740v, 740W

did you study for the tests as a 7th or 8th grader, or just "wing it" to see how you would do?

I wung (is that right?) it in 7th grade.

I don't remember the exact number but it was like about 500 each for math and vbl. I don't know how you guys did so well, I hadn't even taken geometry yet!

11th: 740 math 800 vbl (740 writing)

The idea is to wing if you want to use it as a diagnostic tool. There's gifted and then there's highly gifted. It's called above-level testing. When you "wing" it and score 700 or above in math you really got something going there (check Johns Hopkins SET).

I got a 800 (total!) when I was in 7th grade on the SAT, and I assumed that (since it wasn't on my score report on collegeboard), that colleges wouldn't see it. I saw the UCI got it, though. Now, It's been 5 years and I got a 31 on the ACT (never took the SAT Reasoning). Obviously, I'm not at that level anymore.

Do you think this will hurt me? Like, the colleges will consider it even a little?

Do you think think this might help me? To show that extremely large amount that I have managed to learn via hard work over the past few years.

Or, do you think it won't be considered and won't help/hurt me?

I'm think it's the third one..

Yeah, it's def. number 3.

Cool. Thanks :]

MODERATOR'S NOTE TO "SAT Scores - 7th Grade" THREAD:

I'll merge this recent thread with the earlier thread on the subject.

Daughter received 510cr/460m/540w on January SAT as an 8th grader for CTY

She didn't do any studying, and has not had any geometry yet. Also, she realized after the test that "guessing" on some of the questions probably was not a good idea.

Is there any hope for her to receive good scores in the future???

Want to add that she received an 8 on the essay, which I thought, for an eighth grader, was pretty good. :)
