i wanted to know what some 7th and 8th graders SAT scores were. also, college students, what scores did you get on the new SAT and what is the minimum score requirement for your college?

i took it this june as a 7th grader and got:
CR: 670
W: 700 [ essay score 10 ]
M: 620

Awesome! My D took the SAT in 7th grade too, the year before writing was included and got a 600 and a 630. Which were the 2nd and 3rd highest scores in our state for a 7th grader. Yours are better than hers! My advice to you and your family is to keep making learning fun. Don't dwell on your test scores. Forget about them, be a kid and have fun! Take the PSAT as a sophomore and a junior and then take the ACT and SAT late in your Junior Year. You have lots of time ahead of you until you have to think about tests and the rest of that stuff. Challenge yourself but be well rounded! Good Luck!

Yeah, your math score is only low because you haven't even taken a high school math course yet lol!

Like Hindoo said, get off this site right now and don't even think about college til your freshman year. Even then, don't build your life around it. Enjoy your youth.

The pdf file (Talent Search Results Summary) linked from this page provides an excellent summary of the SAT scores for 7th graders taking the test for Duke's TIP.

Your scores are in the 99th percentile (M was 98th) of the people taking the test. Not bad when you consider that this group is a sample of the top 5 percent. By extension this places you in the top 0.05 percent of your grade.

thanks! you ppl are awesome :D fuddy old dud * chuckles quietly to self *
thanks for the duke university TIP link, massdad, i also looked at the john hopkins and stanford epgy program before, but they all cost a million bucks. XP
