Good luck to all of us out here hoping we'll get in!

By 2006, the incoming class will likely number about 1,250, a decrease of 100 from average classes over the past decade. Administrators said a smaller undergraduate student body, which currently numbers about 5,225, will help with the current housing crunch and lessen the strain on University facilities.

Holy schmokes!

I'm the luckiest person in the world.

I'm sorry, but I feel really impressive right now.

LOL I'm just kidding, I now it's a crapshoot and I definitely got my share of rejections...but still, 8.6% is ridiculous.

kristin: so you have good news here, eh? Who denied you admission? (I'm trying to predict as d isn't home yet, hasn't looked, and I'm SOOOO curious). Deferred ED but admitted Cornell. Afraid to look, here.

Yeah, I did get in at Yale (woot!). However, I was waitlisted at Harvard, and with Stanford and Princeton still pending, I'm sure I'll get at least one more rejection/waitlist.

RD was 5.8%, according to today's YDN. Which means that the RD rate for undergrad admissions was nearly as low as the med school (4.8%) - only one percent higher. craziness!

Yeah...now I don't feel so bad about being rejected.

what the @#^#$&@#($@(*#

lower than harvard, for those who care. unfreakingbelievable!

yeah, that med school stat really put the numbers in perspective. wow.
