8 Semesters of English?

<p>The UC App says in its a-g requirements that I need to have 4 years of English. The problem is, the school I go to now is on the block system, so we have an hour and a half block of English every day for half a year. The online app still says that I haven't fulfilled all the requirements because I have only taken 4 semesters of English. I don't understand if they really mean 8 semesters of English, or if I can just put 2 semesters of English per year.</p>

<p>I tried e-mailing the school, but it has been about a week now. If further explanation is required I would be happy to offer it.</p>

<p>Since a semester class in a block school is the same as a year class in a traditional school, go ahead and put down that you have 8 semesters of English. You should do this for all the classes that you have had under the block.</p>
