Is it true that getting a perfect score on the writing multiple choice gets you an 800 regardless of your essay score?

No. It gives only about a 680.

no. You need AT LEAST a 9 I think, and thats if the curve is in your favor

You’ve got to be flippin kidding me. I got an 8… That would explain the 780. Sigh.

It’s cool man. I’m pretty sure colleges can see the breakdown. I don’t think anybody cares about that damn essay

I saw your post in the results thread. read direct hits to get your CR score above 700 and you should be super

I have no idea what happened with my CR score. I had a vague idea of the few questions I missed, but I didn’t think it’d bring me down 120 points…

Got 800 with 80 MC (0 wrong) and 9 essay for Nov’s test. Thought it needed to be a 10 essay, but saw a few others in Oct’s test that got 800 with 80 MC and 9 essay as well.

Does that mean minus 2 with 11 essay is an 800?

Not exactly. The essay score plays a large role in the final section score.

If you’re really lucky, then yes.

I believe for the October SAT test, you would have needed to get a perfect essay score to make -2 on the MC an 800
