800 in 8th grade?

Hey guys. I got a 770 in the Math Level 1 in the 7th grade and an 800 in the Math Level 2 in the 8th grade. I really, really REALLY don't want to go through the trouble of retaking these tests. Is there any way at all that I can report these scores?

Am i being trolled… Cause if u really do have those scores so young u will have no problem getting a full 800 in both when u reach gr. 11

That’s the least of my concerns. I don’t want to go through the trouble of retaking, that’s all. I’m a very lazy person.

IF you want to be considered for a National Merit Finalist spot, you will have to take the exam during 11th/Jr year…and…I believe you need to be at minimum a freshman level for the scores to be accessible to send to universities.

They let 43 year olds, I mean 14 year olds, take subject tests? Your dob is on your profile, not that your thread is not obvious enough.

Bored today?

if you have that on math you’ve better go for the IMO ;the American team will be glad to have you!! hahaha

NMF spots are affected by SAT II Scores? Very interesting.
@OhioMom3000
As a matter of fact, I am extremely bored, but if you are insinuating that I am a ■■■■■, I staunchly deny any such accusations.

APOL was only trying to help your fictitious sorry butt.

I am going to start using the phrase “I staunchly deny any such accusations” XD

He posted a chancing thread for college, saying he was a rising senior, so he probably just lied about his age (I do it sometimes on the internet). I noticed on that thread that you didn’t include your Math 1 score, which you definitely should assuming you are telling the truth. I don’t see how you couldn’t report them just like the other ones you took, but I guess if there is some problem you should probably contact College Board.

I wasn’t expressing sarcastic disbelief. I was genuinely interested that NMF decisions were affected by that.I’m kind of flattered that you refuse to credit my scores. It’s a bit of an ego-booster, honestly. But, it’s your decision, I guess. I honestly don’t see what’s so unbelievable about it.The real reason I posted a false age was because my identity was compromised on this site once; I want to leave absolutely nothing to chance. And wow, I’m sorry if I offended you. And you used the word “fictitious” incorrectly. Both me and my butt, are very real, thank you very much. However, I am assuming your use of the word “butt” was actually a synecdoche for me as a whole, so the existential condition of my derriere is irrelevant. Whatevs. I digress.

OhioMom3000 kindly brought to my attention that my reply may seem a little snide. I mean no such thing. The nuances of the English language are lost over internet forums. ANYWAY. I must look into this NMF thing. Would retaking the MAth help my chances? Are you even allowed to retake SAT II’s anyway? Someone told me you weren’t.

Thanks!

At any rate, I’m not here to start any fights. I’m just asking if there’s any way at all that I can report my middle school scores to colleges.

You can take subject tests again. I know you can take SAT and ACT as early as 6th grade for practice through Midwest Talent Search or Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, for instance. S did that. Did not know you could take subject tests as well. They do not report the SAT tests until 9th grade. You can call College Board to ask your specific question. Your question, claiming to have taken subject tests in 7th and 8th grade, (did not think you could do that, only SAT) and your profile age, threw me off.

@OhioMom3000,

Thanks for your helpful reply! I apologize for my smart-alecky reply to your comment. I realize I may have sounded like an arrogant jerk throughout this thread. I just wanted to avoid spending time and money on tests I did well enough in in middle school. And when you say they don’t report scores until the 9th grade, does that mean that the 800 and and the 770 are gone forever? D:

You should call College Board. Check the website for the number. I know they do not report SAT on their own, until taken in at least 9th grade. You may be able to request that they send it to colleges. How were you able to take it so early? Were you involved in one of the programs I mentioned in previous post?

Setting aside one hour for one Saturday…

@LoseYourself,

Yeah, I know, but still… Come on…

@OhioMom3000

I did several courses at CTY.

Let us know if you can request them to be sent. I’m curious. Sorry I made a few inaccurate assumptions and was rude to you. You handled yourself very well in response.

To answer the OP,

You can request that College Board save your scores but you must do it by the end of the year that you take the test. For example, I saved my son’s 8th grade Physics SAT II score which was an 800 and his Math II score which was 760. He retook the Math II test this past spring to get his 800 but he will be submitting the Physics SAT II score from
8th grade.

The key is that you must request that College Board save the scores or they will purge them after June of that particular year. I think the info is on their website. Otherwise, pm me and I can try to dig up the contact info. (It’s old contact info, though)

many universities state that they want scores from tests taken during high school. So it may be school specific as well.
